Well, we were literally clueless last night around 3AM. The sheets pulled the clue (corner) off the flying jib on a SW tack down the east end of the island. (The flying jib flies on the boat's most forward stay and it happens to be my favourite sail - I like the cut of this jib!)
It went up again this morning (handy to have a sailmaker on the crew!), but the bad news is we lost a good sail for a good chunk of the night in a dying wind and it really hurt our progress.
Currently (pun intended), we're between Cape Bear and Pictou Island, just coming around the corner.
We won't make the finish line before the official midnight race closing, but we'll keep sailing - the next tack will be favourable to go up the Strait towards Summerside.
