Ha! The before/after pics are a couple of years apart... pretty funny spotting the differences with the AWOL trees (I count 5).

This part of the world has been hit hard by the emerald ash borer. 3 of the disappeared trees were ash. But the large trunk closest to the foreground was a gorgeous mature white pine... I think the widow who owns that place was encouraged by a shady (ha) tree service to take it down even though it looked healthy, and really posed little threat to property given our typical storm wind directions. Sad.
