This is even being applied to some compact cars, with higher seat cushion heights and slightly higher than traditional roofs.
EG: my 86 year-old dad has a bad back, and he was amazed at how dramatically easier it was to get in/out of a Mirage G4 sedan than his (former) Civic:

Unfortunately this is an arms race, so that advantage has basically been erased because everyone's buying SUVs & CUVs & crossovers. The scourge of dark tinted glass negates this advantage even more.
