How about a rule to eliminate "creep" on cars that don't have traditional automatic transmissions?
Uncommanded acceleration isn't a feature, but a bug of how traditional automatic transmissions work. Carrying over that bug into EVs is dumb. There's less need for a kill switch if cars don't default to driving away when the foot is off the brake.
As an aside, my truck weighs 7,200 lbs and idles at 15 MPH. That's not a great default behavior.
