I have those caps that tell you when the tires drop to 31 or lower (normal is 36psi or higher). The one downside is that putting the caps on and taking them off the tire results in a small loss of air and I'm not sure if the cap is really airtight to the valve. Another worry I have is they could be a source of air leakage.
I know I should check my tires at least once a month but I get lazy about it. With the last few tanks I've been getting, I think I need to look into it.
