In theory custom side skirt model would propably be best. But that rear air curtain should do the same task.
There is always sidecurb driving situation what to think about. Rigid skirts can break easily if they are very low.
For manufacturing perspective those air curtains can be 3d printed so much easier execution as no tooling is not needed.
