I would put the NAS in a different house with someone we trust. Possibly I'd put it in a different town or even a different state. I could also host a NAS here for someone in the family.
If the house burns down and my main drive, it's backup and the backup on the NAS are all in that house then those backups would have been in vain.
I come across free computers all the time too.
