I am afraid that still isn't enough motivation for some humans.

If I see the client, I bill. If they refuse to cooperate I mention that.
I have had clients who consistently refused to cooperate and their moms dropped me before I could recommend discontinuing, but I will not repeatedly report that a client refused to cooperate, I will request to discontinue.

Back when we were able to bill for no-shows the policy was that as long as we hadn't stepped out of our vehicle it was a cancelation.
We could drive an hour and they could call us when we are on their street, but as long as we are still in our vehicle it is a cancelation.

However, since then, if I knock on the door and they cancel, I just get frustration, although if they do that three times in a row I can request probation.
