Jimbo road-tests the Renault and needs to adjust the speedometer down slightly: He said that the massive exhaust system dumps too much heat into the engine bay, so when he did a fuel economy run he needed to remove the hood, which you think is the trunk lid until you open it and see an engine.

The tires were at 40 PSI and he drove with the windows down because there isn't air conditioning.

The rims on this car are riveted together and they require inner tubes. Well, inner tubes suck, so each of the rims were modified by installing rubber patches over the rivets and that eliminated the need for inner tubes. Now, these tires were fitted in late April and as of last week when we checked them, they were still at 32 psi, so I think the rubber patches over the rivets seem to work really well.
An 8 PSI drop is great?

He got 36.93 MPG.

I didn't post this last week and watched it again to refresh myself, but still wondered if the entire video was about the road test.

Yes yes yes it is.

I read the transcripts to verify.

The input shaft broke, so they replaced the part and used a longer key to distribute the torque better, but it seemed odd.

He showed a key that was too long and then it was too short with a spacer to keep it in place.

Why not use a full-length one?

He also added some brackets to the engine cradle as he works on other improvements:
