That would make sense. But probably only for local delivery trucks. Long haul semi's don't stop very often. UPS is testing a couple of trucks with a new hydraulic hybrid technology. Sounds like the way to go on something that size. A motor/battery pack big enough to move one of those would cost a fortune.
