My whole li'l town has a maximum speed of 25, 20 through the center of town, 15 during school loading/unloading hours.
What drives me absolutely bonkers is when the people dropping off their kids will wait, and roll, and wait, and roll, until they can drop their kid off
right at the walk leading up to the door. For a year or two there were about eight teachers out in front of the elementary school, they'd all step up and open doors on eight cars at a time, eight kids hop out, two in the middle walk straight in and the others walk as much as an extra fifty feet. That worked great, the line advanced at a tremendous pace for an unloading zone.
Middle school, not so much. 20 feet-pause-20 feet-pause. Idiots. Is it any wonder the kids are fat, the mileage abysmal, and the roads congested. Too much me-first, not enough you-too.
