Newspaper article

The newspaper article just came out.

Actually, the paper came out a day early this week, because of the New Year's Holiday.

I got a call this afternoon from my wife. She works for a large furniture retailer. One of the owners of the company called the woman she carpools with to ask if the guy in the article was her neighbor....

The article was pretty good overall, other than confusing the specs on my motorcycle with that of the Killacycle.

Not only was the article on the bottom of the front page of the local paper, it was also on the TOP of the FRONT page of the county seat paper. Complete with the notorious color self-portrait photo of me and the 15 MPH sign!

Here is the abbreviated on-line version. You have to be a subscriber to the newspaper to get the Full on-line version.

An electric atmosphere in traffic court

"Please Your Honor! Give me the other sentence, just make this stop!"

Here's the local paper

Here's the front page of the county newspaper

Is it just a coincidence that the front page of the same paper also talks about trying to find cheap gas?

PS: I just got facebooked by a guy from my highschool days: "I saw you in the Freeman today. Impressive work."

I just can't escape the internet....

You hang in there, bro. Besides getting ecomodder some more traffic and giving DIY electric cars some much-needed press, this'll give you a big push in catching up with Darin's page count!

Oh, and I'm going to go make a donation before you reach 100%. If Laughter is the Best Medicine, then between you and MPaul I'm good for 20 years at least!!!

This keeps getting better and better, funnier and funnier.

The "progress to our goal" campaign graphic is top notch!

I am surprised there are still 15MPH zones. Ever try to drive a manual transmission at 15 MPH? Great story Ben!

Around here most of the 15mph speed zones are posted when crossing old one-lane bridges with limited sight angles and the middle of some small sleepy towns where the speed limit hasn't changed since the early 1900's when horse-drawn vehicles outnumbered motorized vehicles and the two types of vehicles had to mix in traffic.

Driving at 15mph is no problem with a manual. At those speeds its mostly FAS coasting with an occasional short burst in 2nd or 3rd (depending on the grade) to keep things moving.
