Will, The Mileage on my metro is 283k maybe 284K. And I just replaced the seats...Thanks to Schultz....He started his thread on metro thrashing and it lit a fire under my a## to do something about my seats . And my back and neck feel much better....I picked up a pair of 99 metro seats from a sedan that only had 18k on it and they only cost 2 dollars. My local u pull it had a dollar day!

For what it's worth...The previous owner rering'd and bearing'd it in the frame rails @ 155k the only reason I know this is because everything he did to the car maintance wise is wrighten on the under side of the hood with permanent marker..

Will, Were the trim rings on your wheels when you got the car? Or did you put them on? If you did where did you get them ?

You won't believe this, but when I bought the car I happened to have a 88 Nissan Sentra at the house that did not run (bad tranny that they only used for one year). I got them from that car. They just happened to fit.
I got a extra set of 4 in my shed if you want them.

Yea, I'll buy'em if you want to sell them....Good luck on that timing cover....I ended up getting one that was a little better then the one I had and slice'd it up so that I had timing marks and a top cover for the cam gear....Everyone I found/had, All hit and were rubbed through from the Altenater belt/timing belt/ pulleys etc.

I agree with RacerX on the timing cover. They are hard to find. Did you check to see if a Chevy Dealer still has them available?
I just got a price for a 1995-1997 "guppy mouth" front bumper from a junkyard and they want $150.00 for it! What a rip-off. The search continues.............
