Yes, and I was planning to put them in a build thread for my truck. When I get around to it. Soon. I promise.

Yeah, the OD gear looks pretty expensive. If I could find one in a junk yard or something I would say it would be a great option. I will keep them in mind as a possibility if I could come into one on the cheap.

JR: good info to keep in mind. I will try and get the grille blocked off better and maybe install a kill switch sometime in the coming week.

The gear venders have gone up in price since the last time I mounted one up! At $2500 it is too much money. Back a few years ago they were closer to $12-1400 which made them more attractive.

Be warned-- I've never heard of someone going to bigger tires on a truck without losing gas mileage. It's not because of the rotating weight of bigger tires, but the taller final gear ratio. Dropping highway RPM sounds good in theory but never really work unless the truck was undergeared to begin with.

Maybe that's simply because they didn't compensate for the introduced odometer error. Larger tire diameter will cause your apparent MPG to drop, even if your actual MPG remains the same.

Looking forward to it.

The custom aero shell in your avatar picture looks intriguing.
