I've been aware of some 420cc stationary engines being highly tuned and fitted to racing karts, with power increased to around 30hp. Makes me wonder to which extent it could be enough to keep a reasonable drivability.

Even though I'm strictly against communism, and even my dog who is usually friendly to everyone got in the mood to attack a local commie in my hometown once, I must confess the minimalist approach of certain cars from behind the Iron Curtain is interesting to say the least. Maybe it's because they're so crude to the point of bearing some resemblance to agricultural machinery, just like the Ford Model T (even though Ford is not my cup of tea).
