Nice headlights, in most situations I'd say it wouldn't make much of a difference. But looking at the current set up you have, those lights will look way better and I think have a fair impact on your fuel economy. Good for you.

If you're going to do a coroplast bed cover, you may want to consider using some 1x2 for support, I'd say every 12-18" across the bed. You may want to consider raising it up as well with something like 2x4's around the top rim of the bed, I know I've seen a chart somewhere that shows the taller the bed, the better the mileage. It would be cheap and easy to do and would give you 3.5 inches more dry cargo height.

Got the grille today from the local junkyard. Not sure how long it has been there since this vehicle was setup in a different section of the yard from most others of its kind, and a place i havent ever walked through, but i was following a friend looking for a part and we happened upon this baby. The grille was setting on top the roof and both headlights were in it also but i left them. Also had some 3" angled drop blocks inside it with u-bolts, that i stored away to go back and get soon...

I will post pics of the conversion tomorrow!!!!!

Got them installed and pulled the HIDs out of my Silverado for now to run in them. I still have some things i want to do with them but i needed to get it all wired so i can go to work in the morning. Had to change from H4 style to 9005 & 9006.

Been a long, long time since ive been on here and i havent done any other mods than the last pic above.
The only thing i have done is replace the headlights again but this time i retrofitted some HID projectors, so that im not blinding everyone else on the road.
I have lost roughly 2 mpg somewhere and the truck is pulling hard to the right. I checked the toe and its pretty good, not enough to be b-line to shoulder. So im thinking i have a caliper hung and that side squeals sometimes and its always making some kind of screeching like it is hung up. Maybe i can finish some projects ive started or gather parts for and never started on the next few months.
My plans to future mods are upper grille block and fill the gap in the bumper over the valance, and finish the tonneau i gathered all the parts for.

The nice thing about these trucks is cheap parts. Had to do calipers a few weeks ago on my '99 and they were $12ea at AutoZone. I used to rebuild em but for $12 it's just not worth it...LOL.
