Those are HD tires, they're def not P type.

You can tell if it's a P tire by looking at the tire size. It will say P###/##R##

In your case, it might say LT235/85R16.

Whatever the pressures on the sidewall of the tire, run those. It'll probably feel alot better to you.

Ok Milwakuee, change your t-stat if the temp. gauge is always low. If it runs in the middle & the upper rad. hose is hot then it's ok. Your vacuum readings sound good. Check the egr for proper operation, check ign. timing & make sure it advances when you rev it. Don't buy a tiny block heater, get the biggest one (watts) you can afford, helps your truck warm up quicker. Does the clutch on the cooling fan work right? I have seen those clutches lock up & cause an extra load on the engine. I'd put synthetic lube in the rear axle. Take it easy on the gas when the engine is cold, EFI engines dont have chokes, the ecm adds alot of fuel when the engine is cold, it meters fuel according to the coolant temp, a hot running engine can run on signifcatilly less fuel than a cold one.

It LT tires so that mean they aren't good for mpg? Is there tires I can use from Retread Tires - Buy Retread Tires, Cheap Tires, and Retreads Online ?


Why can't I put 235/70/16 but they don't make and they say it dangerous to put smaller tires than factory size.



fan clutch is free I know what you talk about. It isn't hard to spin with your finger.

I watch gauge it seem it weird. Sometime it stay in N-O sudden spike to R then I turn on heat it went back to N-O.

VERY HOT when touch hose.


How I check EGR? It have issue with something that is manuflaction. That what it say on scanner.

For block heater It would be tough. My Dad refused let me plug because he knew it use TONS power. Try on my 79 F150 he end put JB welder on block heater's connector so I can't use again.


Hey can you watch this video. Is this BAD DRAG? My 96 E350 aren't that drag it more easy to roll than this F250.

You can use the LT tires, they're actually what you need. They might not be the best for MPG, but the only way you're going to get anything better is a higher load range tire with more air pressure, I think.

Well 4.10's is a BIG problem in the first place you needto get some 3.55's in there stat or even 3.23 if you can find em that'll help out alot

Also how clean do you keep it? i know it may not be a huuge difference but i'm sure especially on the highway keeping it washed and waxed can help a little bit with it.

Another question though some of the guys on here may not agree with me about. is your intake/exhaust Setup stock?

Unless he's got huge mud chunks hanging everywhere, washing and waxing will do absolutely nothing for his mileage at high speeds. The turbulent boundary layer is as thick as your thumb or more, figuratively speaking.

Would 4.10 to 3.73 be huge difference? I found them for free but still want 3.55 so I can cruise on highway faster and get little better mpg.

3.73 would be better, yes.

It's about a 10% decrease in RPM over a 4.10 gear set, so if you normally cruise at 2k, you'd now be cruising around 1800 RPM.

Then if you go from 3.73 to 3.55, it's another ~7%, so that brings you down to 1675 RPM, which is getting really good. (Loose math, and that's only correct if you cruise at 2,000 already.)

Check your brakes and make sure they're not dragging at all, too.
