Joe, take a look at the template and also this cap, and you'll see the bed on your truck is in no way limiting your aerodynamic improvements. Even if you chopped the top, it is still not in the way of good aero. You need to make your truck a couple of feet longer if you want to get a tail down to bed floor level.

You should submit your project on kickstarter.com . It is a perfect candidate for funding there.

I am the most anxious of all to hear from them after five years of hard work and thousands of dollars in legal fees. I will definitely put up a post when I hear something but I expect it to be another two to three weeks before I hear from them.

Tested the Aerolid in the A2 windtunnel in October of 2007. They are a fine bunch of guys with a very fun job to boot!

Thanks to all for your support,

Bondo

How much for one for a Ford F-150 (around the same model year as the ones that are pictured)? I live in Texas, so pick up should be easy enough.

Cool idea. I was just talking to my friend at work who has a 1992 F-150. Still runs great. I told him it is never too late to eco-mod.

An auto parts store that I drive by frequently has a Ford Ranger and a Chevy Aveo as delivery vehicles. When they are parked just right, as you drive by you see the back of the Aveo looking like a truck cap on the Ranger. Beautiful, I've thought about building one.

funding for project

Brett, I found this thread via a Google search and decided to join this forum on account of it. I was jazzed enough that I posted the thread on Facebook, and a friend of mine suggested you try kickstart.com for allocating the funds you need to make this thing bigger. Hope you make it happen!
