I don't know your engine management in particular but I'm about 75% sure it will not throw a code/CEL, ( ok probably 95% sure).
I've been driving turbo cars for 30 years, I've had many an IC hose pop off/ boost leaks and never a code. It's actually a bad thing since the power is greatly reduced and it's difficult to diagnose not knowing what the issue is.

BTW, the injector duty cycle skyrockets in boost, ( vs vacuum), it takes alot of fuel to keep an force induction engine happy.
Currently I drive a tuned twin turbo V6, I've been datalogging and watching all the parameters that pertain to the fueling and it's no secret to why the fuel economy is so bad in boost.

Normally don't watch instant MPG much, but I'm single digit with the Cobalt in the first 3 gears with my normal acceleration, shifting close to 3,000. I've decided I'd rather get to speed fairly quickly so not getting single digit or low teen mpg a longer amount of time. The coast on the other end makes a bigger difference I think.

See if you can use a camera to record load, rpm, and gpm. If you have a scanguage like most of it (I thought it was a membership requirement here :P).
That would get you a feel for it. Start off idle at 75% load, 90% load, etc.. and go up to 2700 rpm.

Well I assume a lot of the diy tuner guys probably have a laptop for datalogging and can read the tables. I haven't really gone that far.

Sentra SE-R did some data logging years ago using a SG2, it's beyond my knowlege & interest level.

Haven't posted or been on here for a while. Was on furlough for 3 months, went back to working 10hrs a day and some weekends. May average on the car computer is at 42mpg on the 500 mile and rising. I just slowed down and working on shift points.

Hit 44.3mpg today, still climbing. One interesting thing, I lowered tire pressure to factory while also slowing down on the interstate. Also trying to get into 5th and sixth at slower speeds when in towns and slower roads.

What's the lowest RPM you can drive at in gear without lugging? My Insight can drive as low as 800 RPM without lugging, so at lower speeds around town at 25 mph or lower one can still use a higher gear and get decent mileage.

44 is pretty good! I drove a Cruze once, unfortunately it was the automatic, and the car wouldn't let me use the paddle shifters to shift into the higher gears as soon as I wanted it to.

I can get down to 1000, maybe a little lower. Haven't tried to do it on purpose. I'm seeing some gains at city speeds by getting up to 5th quicker though, as long as its flat ground. Hit 45.7 yesterday, but did some shopping and screwed up my numbers.

I can get that low too, but I have found that even on flat ground it is hard to maintain speed and get the super high mileage. Just not enough torque.

For me anything below 1200 is medium load or lighter, and anything below 1000 RPM is light load, 100+ mpg. It's not much, more for cruising at low speeds <30 mph around town or <15 mph through parking lots and such than for actual road cruising.
