oh yeah, i promised a picture of my outback. definitely NOT aero-friendly
the impreza is the gas-sipping commuter
the outback is for camping, off-roading, rallyx, hauling, zombie hunting...

i was contemplating 16" wrx wheels on her car but she flipped out. she wants everything exactly the same as it is now on her car.

i mean just filling in the back of it so air doesn't come in. i did take her mud flaps off so maybe ill use those.

does driving with the climate controls set to defrost have anything to do with the AC system and lower gas mileage?

Yes it does. The AC is run to dry the air.

Ok thanks, that's my suspicion and part of the reason I'm so amazed she averages 36 mpg cause the selector is always set to defrost.

Nothing wrong with FWD if its set up correctly :P
