Jakins, the blazer is FI (crappy CPI) from factory so I don't mind swapping a FI modern engine but, in older cars, a carb (or dual carb, tri-power, even quad, and if possible with a blower is much better) jajaja

cRiPpLe_rOoStEr, almost everything I see on these roads daily is under 2 liter diesel, little boring cars with their tractor sound and black smoke!!! jajaja
I thought you had diesel there, sure you can see in this roads older and more interesting cars and trucks!!! We all want what we don't have!

Black smoke is more a matter of improper adjusting. Diesel-powered vehicles in Brazil, since '76, must have either a 1-ton minimum payload, or 4WD with dual-speed transfer case, or carry at least 9 passengers (not counting the driver), altough a few small pickups and station-wagons were successfully converted to Diesel until '93 when it became harder to register them legally. Exemptions are granted to diplomatic missions.

But in Argentina and Uruguay it had been easier to find Diesel-powered cars, altough nowadays they're not so much more popular due to the increased purchase cost due to stricter emission laws.
