Looks like I got $1,535 on May 13th. I assume that means our income disqualified $865 worth of the full amount?

It sounds like it.

I earn about three times as much as Arizona allows for pandemic unemployment. Nobody can explain this, I keep getting people accusing me of random baseless things.

In Arizona if you earn $30.50 or less each week you are eligible for $840 in unemployment. If you earn $269.50 a week you are eligible for $717. If you earn $269.51 you are eligible for $0.

Arizona has continued pandemic unemployment through December, so unless you earn significantly more than $840, you are financially better off living on unemployment until TPgate wraps up.

However, I would lose all of my clients, and in theory I could pick up clients and make more than unemployment pays. I check the school district's website every day to see if their full-time SLPA didn't work out already.

I hate this, I want to sign the charter school's contract, but I absolutely want a full-time job if possible.

I am still missing a crown and the next one is loose.

I decided what to spend my stimulus check on. Last Tuesday we were eating lunch at the picnic tables in front of Big Jim's Drive-In in The Dalles, OR. Across the road was a food bank with a least a mile of cars queued waiting to get a box of food. We knew we were going to donate the money but that solidified the cause.

The Oregon Food Bank got our stimulus check and the company I work for kicked in another $500 matching.

Maybe I'll buy in now, ride the bounce, and try to time the fall... which I predict will be this fall.

A group of friends have made an investment game where we all take $100 and invest it. At the end of the investment period, whoever has the most profit wins the right to buy the losers a round of Scotch.

I had no interest in stock market investing until I realized the DOW had lost 1/3 of it's value in a month. Nice to jump in when you can get a discount like that. I do want to take long positions though.
I'm an idiot and should have trusted my initial instinct to invest in March.

Rickard predicted a dead-cat bounce, and in the intervening time himself died (RIP).

I feel like the market is overvalued now though and this is the dead-cat, with a plummet less than the original drop to occur within the next 6 months.

Again, I have no insight and haven't studied this at all... just my impression of things.

Then again, maybe I'm just more pessimistic now that my family has the Wu-Flu.

Eh.. Mid term you will have drops, but long term it will always go up. Think here that the 401k is the only retirement option for the majority of us. Thats why the overvalued ratios keep getting higher and higher just as an average. The big problem is you just don't want to retire in a dip. Goodluck with predicting that!
