This video is to announce a show at The Petersen this Summer:

The Kamm-back top is interesting but totally infeasible.

RETRO CAR again.

Pretty slick for VW Beetle, right?

The only other vehicles I can think of with only a hatch in the roof would be the Kubelwagen tank simulator and the Dobbertin Surface Orbiter.

Fascinating. But is it really aerodynamic or more importantly low drag?

' Wingho '

'Backwards', it make the beginnings of a pretty good solar race car!

NB that the (great design) left and right side hubcaps are DIFFERENT..!
ie: They are mirror images of each other.

That is the only way to do aero hubcaps WITH cooling vents in them that remain cognizant' of the fact that the wheel at the top is doing 2X airspeed and zero airspeed at the bottom.

But can you imagine the utter confusion this would create in the general public!
I suppose that's the real reason different/mirrored left and right hubcaps have been rejected by the car industry: Rejected due to human (technical) stupidity!

If I were a Chinese manufacturer looking to churn out aero hubcaps, this is the design I'd swipe, with a big L on the inside of 2 of them and an R for the other 2.

"So-sema Greg-war"

I like the three-piece backlight and 3/4 view.

They quote a 0.25 Cd, but don't say whether that's with or without the four wheel skirts.

It never ran for a record, but note that the Volkhart-Saggita from 15 years earlier had half the HP and a ~0.20 Cd. It hit 90MPH.

The most expensive car Jay Leno ever drove is also the most un-streetable:

No brakes, no ventilation, no mirrors ...and only good for 110 MPH.
