Just bought a 1998 Civic HX

This week was the first time commuting in my Civic hx and after my fillup tonight I've already achieved my goal of 50 mpg....lol. I'm shocked I was able to keep the car at 68 mph and still get that kind of mileage.

Well, once my Scangauge gets here I'll see if I can hit 55 mpg. I love this car!!! .....and so does my wallet!!!

I coast as much as possible in traffic, down hills, and at lights, keep my speed between 65/70 mph, try to keep it in lean burn mode, and keep the AC off or as low as possible so the compressor doesn't cycle on as much.

I think that if I towed my car it would still manage to get under fifty miles to the gallon.
