Error message is because your using an older version of MPLAB. I switched to v8.83 back in April and it needs to see "PORTB" to compile. For older version, try "PORTBE". (see attachment)

Very nice work by the way

Hi everybody,

I am having a strange problem with my display. The problem is with the charging screen. After about 1 1/2 hours of charging the light stops and the charging time display goes to zero, and SOC display goes to zero.

The charging amps stays on. After the charge is finished and the display is back to the other screens the SOC has been updated to the point where the charging screen malfunctioned. This has happened during the last two charge cycles. Our temps around here are in the high 90's and high humidity.

Since the temps are so high I only charge very early in the morning. About 80 degrees.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks Alvin

This morning it worked like it is supposed to do. I did not do anything different . The temps outside are about the same. I don't know. We will see.

Were the design files for this project ever made available? I built one for my car back in the day and it worked great.

Sorry, took a while to find it in my archive.

Can't attach it, too big. PM me an email address where I can send it to you.
