Happy New Year, I finally needed to refuel today, this tankfill I went 361.9 miles and used 3.73 gallons for 96.8 mpg. Not bad for lots of short rides, cold weather and winter blend gasoline. In 2013 I rode 2786.5 miles and used 24.8 gallons of fuel for 112.4 mpg.

Welcome to SPRING...how is it going Vic? Been seeing some impressive mods on Alan's new Ninja, looks like he/Craig are doing a great job. I really like the way he stretched the swingarm, great idea, and the flip-seat too.

Yes, Spring is here! Alan's new project is pretty cool. Alan, Craig and John have done some amazing work with it. I can hardly wait until we are ready to do some test rides with it.

I've been pretty busy with work and travel for my job and haven't had as much time for working on my motos and riding as I would like. Also my brother lost his long battle with cancer last month. It has been a tough year so far.

I still plan to compete at the Vetter Challenges in Ohio and Utah. I haven't done much to the streamliner other ride it and keep it running. I need to close up some air gaps around the front wheel opening. I've spent more time riding my other moto ; testing the effectiveness of the aerotrunk.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother Vic, our prayers are with you/family. I am excited though to hear about the Vetter Challenges and sincerely hope to catch you guys at one. Where can i get some info on the Utah one you mentioned? Salt Lake is only 10.5 hrs from my home. I had hoped to have started a new job myself last year when we last spoke about it. I am just now having a final interview with them(June 4th), so we'll see. I am excited to finally be able to get a CBR250r and compete with you guys. I have recently been on Craig's site getting ideas for a fully faired body for it. I'll probably do the Tail section first as that shows the most results. I will have a 120mile(1-way) commute each week that i am actually looking forward to on the Stream-Lined bike! I have found so many of the CBR250R's on Craigslist that it's driving me crazy. They have a lot of really cheap ones in Texas i'm finding, but by the time i get there and get it back home they are the same price as in my area. Enjoy the rest of your day Vic, excited to see the results from your new mods. :{)

Thank you for your kind thoughts about my brother. I'm starting to get things together for the Ohio Challenge and looking forward to seeing you guys in Utah! I took the streamliner on a Ninjette Rally ride today and knocked my FE for the tankfill down to 86 mpg. It is still fun to go fast sometimes.
HHOTDI, Best wishes for your job quest. The CBR250R should be a great platform for your efforts. As used ones get more plentiful I may see about getting one for my next project.
