Too early to look at the weather for Sunday?

73 degrees, partly cloudy, 10% chance of rain..that would be great! Might be in the low to mid 60's during the run...keep 'em crossed fellas!

Has any decision been made on the process to guage accurate fuel consumption results from the 2 Prius in the competition? Maybe Hobbit has some suggestions as he has run his Prius in a few comps.

If it was an all Prius comp I would just go with MFD mpg but having the additional diesels and hybrids in the division with more accurate filling practices clouds that theory.

I'm up for whatever but was just wondering what the consumption measurement process will be...looking forward to this weekend!

I'm waiting for Ben to tell me the same thing.

I'll be there earlier than that in the afternoon, I think. Might have cardboard stuff that needs installing... I mean taping on. :P

I have the hotel info. at work...I can send it to you tomorrow afternoon (unless Ben sees this before then and sends it to you).

What time are you guys planning to get into town? Im driving from CT but stopping along the way to play 18 holes (couldn't resist it...which also means I'll be driving the comp with clubs and my suitcase in the trunk). I can call the hotel and give them your names to check in case you beat me there...guessing I won't be there until later in the afternoon now.

He might, but no one else seems to. He was the only Pruis last October and I left it up to him how to calculate it. I think he took an average of the "one click" fill and his MFD. As long as you and he agree on a method, we'll use that. He says he's got a few new tricks this year, so he may be closer to 70 mpg this time around. He logged 64.37 mpg last year.

I have a last minute change:

RobertSmalls - 1996 Subaru Legacy - Buffalo, NY.

I'm sorry to say the Insight still doesn't have plates. Therefore, I will be competing in the Subaru. I've made a few last-minute mods and some competition-specific mods, and, considering the speeds involved here, I might be able to do the whole course on two gallons. That's twice as many gallons as the Insight would have needed.

The 2000 Insight is the spiritual sucessor to the CRX-HF, and I was really looking forward to competing against SVOBoy's car. I still will, but not this weekend.

I'm hoping to achieve the qualified distinction of "most fuel-efficient 4x4" this weekend.
