coupe only

5 pin wideband oxygen sensor
no moonroof
power windows and power locks standard
California models primarily did not have lean burn as it produces higher emissions
only civic from 92-00 to have an egr valve
cylinder head is designed to spin inward air into the combustion chamber
exhaust valve springs have a harder spring ratrate
Cam is slightly more agressive than ex model

The most telling sign a car is a hx is power windowindows with no sunroof. All ex trim models came with a moon roof, and all base models came without power windows

As far as lean burn it is the computer relying the car to restrict fuel above a cetrain speed and throttle point
I must correct you on the gear, when I had my '97 HX I was able to get into L/B in 3/4/5th gear.

Best tank I've seen so far is 45.6.

Ripped the air dam off a few weeks back. Fiddling with something new.

Check out the last two photos:

Nice.

The original poster is selling his car on Craigslist and I was thinking about buying it, but I would be pretty much starting over again and my car is very clean besides the title and hail damage

Hey guys its been a while since I've posted anything, but looks like I'm back into the ecomodding game.

I have since sold my red 97 HX and picked up a 97 DX Hatchback beater. Why did I sell it you ask? It was a deal I couldn't pass up, and I really liked the trunk/cargo space of the hatchback, but really missed the power door options the HX had.

Out with the old...

In with the new (or somewhat new)...

A quick photo after I installed the oem suspension(it had cut springs ), factory exhaust system, hx wheels, and front end parts from a parts car I still had...

But here's the sweet part...I scored a Silver 97 HX that was abandoned a few days ago for super cheap! I went to inspect it and it still had the entire D16Y5 engine, 5speed transmission, engine harness with 5-wire O2 sensor, 49 state ecu, and all the power door options I missed from my old HX!

The new HX donor car should be delivered by the end of this week and I can soon begin my DX to HX conversion. Can't wait to get this project going!!
