Yep. The mph function gets thrown when you EoC. I realized this and stopped using the mph tracker. I like to monitor my engine temps on page 1 since I have allot of my grill blocked and recently deleted my fan. I've yet to install an E-fan, and so far it hasn't been an issue, even with 80% of the grill blocked.

I was keeping track of my temps for a while but they never got close to too high so i took it off. I really should get moving on an e-fan swap, taurus fan should work.

I believe ive come across this before when visiting this site but it looks good and functional. : 3 Including what i did to mine just like yours i think adding the air dam actually makes the ford rangers look better. Gives them more of a front end. I hate it the other way around when some people take the factory air dams off there trucks or cars. Its just like oh front, bumper, and then nothing. It makes the vehicle look stupid and makes it lack in styling.

I constructed my front belly pan using my old air dam, 1 3'x4' coroplast sign, 1 18"x24" sign, 6' of landscaping edging (Vigoro 20 ft. Landscape Edging Kit-3001-20HD at The Home Depot), 2 dozen 1/2" sheet metal screws and 6 12" zip ties.

I started by trimming the top and bottom off my old air dam leaving only the middle flat plastic portion. I used the same attachment points and screws to attach the old air dam to the valance and used the same method to attach it to the outside of the landscape edging. I attached the coroplast to the bottom side of the landscape edging using screws every 8" or so. I trimmed curved pieces out of the small coroplast sign to fill out the edges of the belly pan. I attached the back portion of the belly pan to the control arms and the front crossmember using whatever points i could find using zip ties.

That is it in a nutshell, it took me most all of an afternoon but I was figuring it all out as I went. If I did it again it would take an hour. It still needs a bit more work and reinforcement to make the coroplast stiffer but that will have to wait til next weekend.

It is an excellent feeling when a mods shows immediate dividends. I filled up on my way home today and had achieved a new record gas tank of 41+ mpg, YES! I went 600 miles on 14.561 gallons of fuel with my freshly installed belly pan and a healthy dose of P&G. There is still room for improvement and I have been battling a stiff headwind blowing in off the coast almost everyday.

Hopefully, the weather calms down and I can finish up a few more mods and I will inch closer to that elusive 50 mpg mark.

The pay off's of all these mods are all very impressive, but I gotta ask why you didn't just buy a car? It doesn't seem like you need a truck for your commute, and with the lowering you've done, it kinda defeats the purpose of having a truck.
