Correct.

If one is 75+ and has underlying health problems the Wu-flu is no joke.

But to the rest of the population not so much.

They are testing specifically for CoV-2.

https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/sy...-cov-2-igg.pdf

Quote:
A reactive result on this test indicates that IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 were present in the blood specimen. A reactive result can mean you had infection with SARS-CoV-2 in the past or it can mean you are currently infected. If you did not test positive for SARS-CoV-2 already, another test may be needed to see if you are currently infected*
* Note: A reactive result may be due to past or present infection with non-SARS-CoV-2 strains. However, specificity for the Wadsworth Center (WC) SARS-CoV-2 IgG test has been determined to be 93 to 100%. Therefore, significant cross-reactivity to other known respiratory viruses is not expected.

It’s still early though.

Time will tell...

Or those tests detect 1 strain, but not another strain.

... started watching Andromeda strain last night and fell asleep. I had forgotten how that movie went. I should probably read the book since it's among the few Crichton novels I haven't read.

I would definitely hope that over 3% of the population have been infected and built up resistance, but mostly gone unnoticed; as then we'd face the end of the pandemic within reasonable time.
But I rather err on the side of caution, and thus far we need to be cautious anyway.

New study in new York state among people who were out shopping. Looks like around 21% of new Yorkers have had it, go into the city and it jumps to 30%.

Just circle the wagons around the people at risk. Keep the virus away from them and it's about 0.02% deadly.

I'm going with the unreliable idea. Right now I could slap something together and sell it as a test. It's better than nothing, but nobody knows how accurate any of them are.

Depending on the source, it could be worse than nothing. Like tests from Chy-na.

Georgia is rushing headlong into herd immunity.

95% of deaths have been people 45+.

I wish that I saw something more specific than:
45 - 64: 23.1%
65 - 74: 24.6%
75+: 47.7%

For all that we know it is like this:
45 - 55: 8.1%
56 - 64: 15%

We can only guess.

I'm in agreement with aerohead on this one; I'd prefer a summary of the link and your take on it. No sense gaining knowledge and wisdom over the years and keeping it to yourself.

You could plot the chart and fill it in.
