I agree that it is too large - and that it OBVIOUSLY did not do it's job of protecting my electronics!
Here's a pic. The cross reference and the equivalent fuse files fit into the upload. The fuse curve and the catalog segment don't (too big)

Hi Guys
Just an update
Been driving the device - great fun - not sure how many miles I've done
But its getting cold and wet
Also I'm concentrating on getting my new house completed
(It's been a week away from completion for about 6 or 7 weeks now)
So I'm using the estate car a lot

There will now be a delay until I can
Finish the house
Transfer everything over to the new house
Build a new shed!!
Then I will get back into it
Probably about 6 months - at least it will be warm again then

I'm looking at some more batteries to get my voltage up but they are really expensive
so I'm thinking about a Leaf pack
360v - ??
What do you think - 360v or two strings and 180v ?

Paul
Thanks for developing a truly great controller. I have had it in the truck for over a year now. In 2500 miles it has never missed a beat, it is smooth, and it delivers the power.

Ya, I don't think 360v would be a problem, Duncan.

Hi everybody,

I am trying to find the the "BOM, Firmware, PCB and Schematic Files" for Cougar 500.
The links posted are dead.
Somebody can upload the file again, on 4shared or another filesharing, please.

Thank you

Paul - is this out of beta?

Are you 'officially' shipping 1200+ amp controllers?

I'm looking at options ..

I appear to be ?SCARED? to open up the Netgain Industrial and see what I may have blown up .. there's really no other reason for me to have avoided it for a year

Eventually I need to get my Mazda on the road or my wife will get serious about hauling it away for SCRAP!

Paul, First up you're a god. I've been looking over this thread now and then for maybe an year now and you have finally made me register on the forum and get back into trying to do vector control.

Was desperate to successfully do vector control about a year back and gave up back then but want to get back into it and just do it this time around.

When I gave up, I knew practically nothing. But after that I made a PI based current controller for a simple RL load using a dsPIC33 and an H-Bridge and that has given me confidence.

I'm going to read the entire 700 pages of this thread but while that happens, please tell me a bit about how you tackled the whole rotor time constant and PI tuning problems.

Have you thought of sensorless or will the performance not be good enough as with a sensor?

Did you just modify the dsPIC code or write it from scratch yourself? I am generally wary of using other people's codes out of fear that I won't be able to debug and properly modify it.
