Here are a few bits of information that might be helpful for anyone working with a Leaf:

Each module, (that holds 4 cells) weighs 3.8kg. I was able to reduce a lot of pack a lot weight be removing the steel support pieces.

This is the company information on the batteries; The module info is about 1/2 down the page:
Cell, Module, and Pack for EV Applications?Automotive Energy Supply Corporation

Here is some test information by the US department of energy on the Leaf:
https://avt.inl.gov/sites/default/fi...ryleaf0356.pdf

Some more testing by Oak Ridge National Laboratory on motors/inverters including the Leaf:
http://energy.gov/sites/prod/files/2...ess_2013_o.pdf

Does anyone have any information about the Drivetrain module (motor, gearbox, inverter, and charger?) The tests I've found are not quite complete:
ORNL list shows this for the Leaf:
2012 Inverter: 35.7 lbs
Motor 123 lbs (don't know if that includes the gearbox)

Gearbox ratio: 7.94:1
Motor max speed: 10,390 rpm
Motor base speed: ~2750rpm > 3000rpm

Also, any info in powering up the module? Any success with that, or factory service manuals?
