Don't pull a quote out of context, Frank.

Prices are still climbing around here, though maybe at a slightly slower rate? It seems like they slow down when they are about to pass a whole dollar -- when people might easily notice.

My next tank will be above $4/gallon, I think.

prices of fuels soared faster than the price of oil so it hovered for a while waiting for oil to catch up- at $113 a barrel it pretty much has so time to go up again.

also is it just me or is the price of gas really not covered by the media right now, back in 08 when it was 4$/gal every single show every day had a good five min segment about it. were people just more prepared? they aren't freaking out as much this time

There you go again, accusing others of practicing your own behavior :-)

Perhaps there is a problem with your browser? When I look back at my previous posts, I see plenty of quotes. Or perhaps you're annoyed because I practice the courtesy (long commonplace on boards where intelligent discussion takes place) of not repeatedly re-quoting entire posts, but just enough to serve as a pointer back to the original? May I suggest that this is more a problem with your lack of attention span than any fault of mine? Certainly I find it makes reading threads much easier. And may I point out that unless and until you are appointed a moderator, you do not set the rules here.

(I'll also note that neither the style nor the content of my comments seem to have bothered anyone else, so again, if you want to get to the root of the problem, a mirror might be quite helpful.)

Apparently you have been watching too much of David Letterman's "top 10 list."
Merely to demonstrate how wildly off-base you are, as a matter of fact, I've never owned a television set, and watch it only on the rare occasions when I'm constrained by courtesy, as when visiting friends. Wouldn't recognize Letterman if I met him in the street.

Perhaps it's just the nature of news. The first time something happens, it's news. Second time, it's not news. If it keeps happening, it soon becomes olds.

Didn't much the same thing happen with $3 gas? First time it was "omigawd, disaster". Then it went down for a bit, came back up again, bounced around the $3 level a while, and before long it wasn't news, but just normal.

4 Bucks a gallon here! Buy 1000 gallons and get one free.

The highest I've ever seen it is 4.19 a gal. I can't wait to see that record beat.
