The price of oil went back up. I didn't see any drops in price around here -- just maybe a brief pause in the increase? I've seen several stations over $4/gallon for regular 87 octane.

Our local Morrisons put on an offer of spend more than £40 you get 6p a litre off. So we went home and brought both cars, and a can If I had a chance to get to Machine Mart I could have got a Jerrycan.

Nice in theory, but how do you discuss gas prices in a way that's anything beyond the kind of reporting you could better from sites like gasbuddy, without bringing some level of politics & ideology?
I mean, just some people whinging about how gas prices are such a burden, and me happening to mention that I drove the Insight for a month on $20 worth*... Well, that's politics & ideology right there :-)
*OK, complete honesty. April 4th, put in $20.47 with the fuel light on. May 4th, it came on again, and I put in another $20 at the cheapo cash-only station, $3.92/gal IIRC.

Im seeing about $50 every two weeks in fuel costs, it seems. Diesel is $4.25 to $4.39 around me, so 5-6 gal/wk consumption, driving back and forth to my job yard to pick up a van, with little "side drives" here and there.
18 miles each way, there and back up to 3 times a day.
I'm not really concerned too much w with my fuel bills, except to say that I wouldn't complain if it were cheaper.

You know gas is high when you put a coroplast and tape mod on your car and instead of cringing, your wife just asks "So how much is that supposed to save?"
Side note, Gas was 3.99 in my area, and them BOOM! Plummeted to 3.79 in 14 hours. It was crazy!
