Show us on the doll where 'art' hurt you.

I thought scanning and 3D printing the heads was an interesting hack. I watched (so far) with sound off and subtitles on while I was listening to something else.

I was completely fascinated by this earlier today:

Art has wasted countless hours of my time, especially the most valuable early years. There's nothing interesting about haiku, yet I was forced to do it anyhow.

I've got an engineering mind, so my perspective is that form should follow function. Furthermore, the functionality of the world depends on engineering, not art. For example, if a vehicle works well but looks terrible, it serves the function of transport, but if a vehicle looks awesome but doesn't work, it's useless.

Then there's the fact that 99% of art is boring and not good. If someone painted the Mona Lisa and gave it to me as a gift, I'd thank that person and then store it along with other papers I'm never going to look at again... and that's the best of art. The best of art is junk I'd never want to look at again.

I managed to have some school art project featured in the Bush Park art exhibit every year. It was almost always some clay piece. If I'm being forced to "be creative", clay is more interesting (which probably explains why the video appeals to me despite my disdain for art).

The listening is the entertaining part, because comedy relies heavily on delivery.

Mona Lisa isn't best, just vastly over-rated. [IMHO]

He was droll, and musical. My link was mostly ASMR.

I paused at #2486 at 52:50 and convinced myself that his nose deviates to the right, as does mine. I always wonder whether boys whose father is left-handed tend to deviate to the left.

edit:
I think this is pretty important. I bought and read Bob Toben's book Space, Time and Beyond in the 1970s.

Now Jack Sarfatti is back, with an hour compilation on Prof Simon Holland's Youtube channel, and free admission to his Patreon page (today only?) where there is a PDF titled IMPLICATIONS OF META-PHYSICS FOR PSYCHOENERGETIC SYSTEMS.

Sarfatti was the inspiration for Doc Brown in Back to the Future. And Spielberg has a new UFO movie coming out....

An interesting topic today. Organoid Computing.

I am immediately reminded of Isaac Asimov's Positronic Brains.

Today Scott Adams admits he has to look up how to force quit a Macintosh application each time. And it happens all the time.

I'd just put the key combination on a piece tape on the top of the monitor.

Else just remember "three-finger salute", that will trigger a memory.

Now he's on to AI's Overton Window.

I found the episode to be a bit more interesting today compared to other recent shows, though a rehash of his previous ideas (which is good to get a refresher from time to time).

The difference between wanting and deciding is good to be reminded.

He's asked how to force-quit on a Mac at least a dozen times that I've listened, and he doesn't have to remember because he's got thousands of helpdesk resources within chat distance.

It's been stored in my motor memory since 1984. OSX reduced the need quite a bit.

I'd paused it for a while. If I ever need to defend my 4473s, I'll use the Hunter defense. We didn't hear a peep about nullification in the last big trial.
