Interesting point. I do believe only one state is left (not Florida) that does not consider roadways public space, and this should be okay- but it is Florida...

Considering the move made by the idiot, on video, and the fact that he could have hit her and killed her, I doubt any court in Florida would award him more than the "tool of the month" award.

Recording it is one thing, posting up to social media for no other reason then to shame the guy is pretty much the definition of defamation.

I just stay the hell out of the way and let them have at it, way to go Florida!

I shouldn't be so negative I guess . . . I mean, somebody has to install my cable vision, right?
This isn't offensive... I guess unless you replace the word hillbilly with any race, religion besides Christianity, or sexual orientation.

Broadcasting his name, address and phone number is very close to incitement to harassment. Technically, that may not be illegal, but your doing that shows retribution on a personal level as a motive. Even though the guy was reckless and he may be convicted for his illegal acts, his punishment should not be increased by inciting the public to harass him.

Click here to read more about harassment. The sentence that is relevant is this: "When determining the difference between simple rudeness and criminal harassment, authorities are likely to consider issues such as the attacker’s apparent intent, the frequency of the remarks or postings, evidence of premeditation or information gathering, whether others were encouraged to participate in these acts and whether remarks or attacks were directed specifically at the victim.

Posting her property that she legally took? it's not subjective, like a cartoon, comic, or painting- I'd say it's pretty fact based.

Actually if it were subjective there would be no problem, beleive it or not just becuase you are in public (even when acting stupid) doesn't mean you don't have some rights to privacy especially involving recording and re-playing. Even if a lady would win a lawsuit doesn't mean she gets her time and money back defending herself. Which is why most companies will just settle things like this rather then fighting.

Ps, I still stand by it's both of their fault. 99.9999% of cars pass each other every day without video and bird flipping. If you are a person doing either, you are doing something wrong.

Thanks Chuck, you can read the replies and pretty much get a good idea of the types of drivers that are posting, but if I gave any examples then people would scream prejudice.
