No drop so far in mpg at ~ 2 oz Techron / 10 G. What is that "theory" based on?

...using TECHRON™ is like taking medicine. You can take a lot all at once to "flush out" the body (engine), or you can take a small measured amount daily (per gallon) as preventative maintenance.

Last 1/2 tank refill came in at around 35 mpg using 1.9 oz Techron/10G. At current sale price that's $.66 per 10 G.

Bring on the Heat!

I would put my bets on cleaner fuel injectors + warmer weather. I finally got a near 60 degree day here (it's been 40-45 lately) and I was pleasently surprised at the MPG jump I got on the scangauge of about 10% better FE on the freeway.

Enough of my ranting though, keep testing your project out man, and if it comes out well enough I'll switch over to Techron instead of Lucas for my fuel system cleaner when I do my oil changes.

Assuming Glenn is right, that is amazingly fast injector performance deterioration!

Somehow I don't think gas is that filthy...

I'll probably end up using 2/3 oz SI-1 / 10 G as part of a fuel additive mix.

Might try....

.66 oz SI-1, 2.5oz acetone, 1oz xylene, 1oz #2 diesel fuel, and 1/2 oz of synthetic motor oil, per ten gallons of gasoline.

We got yer injector cleaner...yer combustion boosters...some oomph from the diesel....and some top lube...

....that should cover everything/

When you get to the point that you have more additives than gasoline, be sure and announce it. We'll throw a party.
