Picture 19 of 29 from Album DIY; MPG Sensitive Cruise Control
This is the 3 vacuum solenoids for the Audiovox CCS-100, also removed from the vacuum servo motor. The one in the middle receives vacuum from the intake manifold. This one is normally closed and activates to increase the throttle if needed. The other 2 are normally open, so they have to be energized to sustain vacuum to the diaphragm. One of them is for venting the vacuum to reduce throttle if needed. The other one vents if the brake is pressed because the voltage across the terminals collapse to 0V and since it is normally open, it will vent. This is for double safety. If power is lost or brake is pressed, either way it will vent away the vacuum releasing the throttle.
