New to me diesel car (53mpg US @ 70mph)

Hello everyone,

This is more of a re-introduction as I have just bought a new car.

I've had it for around a month and a recent motorway trip of 110 miles (at 70mph cruising speed on the GPS)...

I recently spoke to a senior engineer who worked on the Astra GTC and he confirmed this; they are for EU homologation concerning coverage of the tyres, not for aerodynamics or road spray control.

The camera would probably be more steady if it was mounted rigidly. My brother has had good results in his car by using a homemade wooden mount...
