0w-20 motor oil

What's ya'lls opinion on 0W-20 motor oil? I want to try it, but will it still protect? What brand should I use? Any thoughts and opinions welcome.

check your owners manual for *approved* viscosity. vs ambient temperatures

20 weight is pretty low use in winter only .. 0-30 advanced fuel economy oil is available for summer use
in hotter climates 0-40 but not FE rated

The way you tell if it's ok is to check your oil pressure with the oil, if your engine can maintain oil pressure then you should be fine.
If your car is brand new or has a fresh rebuilt engine and broken in then you could most likely use 0w20 without trouble, but the 20 weight part is where you are going to get trouble as that is how thick the oil as at 212F, or when the engine is hot, the 0 weight is what the oil is acting like when it's cold.
