I'd be feeling pumped if I travelled 1k miles on 35gls = 28.5-mpg. As things stand I look forward to trying to get 17-mpg pulling my 35' TT as a proper test (16-17k gross combined weight). Over fifty is hyperdriving in a 7k truck.
Gerhard Plattner: "The best attitude is to consider fuel saving a kind of sport. Everybody who has enough money for a strong car, can drive fast and hit the pedal. But saving fuel requires concentration, self-control and cleverness. It's a challenge with the nice effect of saving you money that you can use for other more important things."
