I'll use the illustration from Wikipedia although I disagree with it. I put Libertarian at the top and authoritarian at the bottom.

When you add a cross-axis to the Left to Right paradigm, Svboda and Antifa fall to the bottom [top] together. They are no different.
I would also put the economic left on the right and the economic right on the left just because it doesn't matter.

I'm more of a classical liberalism guy than a libertarian but that is because libertarianism is really just a new name for it because liberals have ruined the word liberalism and really have no right to it. They are progressives and liberty is the last thing on their "want list".

I may be wrong, but I think of classical liberal as centrist. Adam Smith and Sargon of Akkad.

Neo-liberals have ruined the word liberalism. And the Left is pushing everybody rightward so they can claim the center.

I see the lefties trying to push everybody rightward, and some are already claiming the "center-left", like Tarso Genro has done in 2014 while in campaign seeking to get reelected governor here in Rio Grande do Sul. Well, his election had already been quite surprising, especially considering that a member of his party has led Ford to switch its plan of opening a factory here. Bahia got the factory instead...

As happy as I am to see people discussing politics civilly, we already had one thread locked today. We do not need a second.

Religion!

This was the first discussion/thread that I began on ecomodder. It's been helpful to sort out the wheat from the chaff. I discovered in my profile control panel that I could create an ignore list. A couple commenters stood out in this thread as being rude and antagonistic without having anything useful or amusing to say, so I put them on my ignore list... The world is a much nicer and more positive place now. I did enjoy reading some of the reply's to the antagonistic and rude commenters though :P

People who act uncivilized in multiple threads usually get themselves banned. For some reason, people act like jerks in one conversation, but behave themselves elsewhere.

It's bad enough that that one poster deletes post after I've replied to them; now I have to wonder if people are talking past me? I don't Ignore posters or Unsubscribe from threads before they die.
