Nice work again.

I did a little looking at launch (0-60ft) vs trap speed, seems that if you are having wheelspin issues (perhaps the advice came from the vette owner?), a bad launch can actually result in a higher trap speed, but for a 2L I think it is simply going faster sooner means faster later.

Wish you had some more runs to experiment with too, sure you could have moved up 10 or more slots easily as you were still accelerating at the end (indeed you calculate 266kph as a top speed and it looks like many of the leaders were already at top speed "unmodified") so I think there is a lot of potential left in the first 60 feet there for you.

Gents and Ladies, he is getting 100 MPG in the Lupo and it will do 120 MPH+ in a standing mile. He knows the car and launches in 2nd for good reasons. I would love to have such a car here in the US, but our regulators know better than we do ourselves.

regards
Mech

Well, I can't fault it.

It crushes the speed limit very handily, is as quick off the line in second as any nasty 80s econobox (and much quicker than all the diesels of that era), and delivers 100mpg. My only gripe, if it were mine, would be the absence of the radio. That car is stripped to the bone.

Nice run, nice ride.

Oh but I have a radio . Its not safe to drive longer periods without ear protetction. Specially if you rev the engine.

Today set also personal fuel consumption record is set now to 2.158 l/100km at 92.7km/h actual average speed taken from ultragauge. For US friends that is 109 MPGus at 57.6 MPH. Car is capable to go two liters at 100 km/h on flat road. Distance driven today was 497,17 km and fuel fillup was 10.73 liters. Video will follow but propably tomorrow as todays target is still to install those bigger injectors.

Depends of course.
Were you still accelerating - however slowly - @ the finish line ?

Acceleration was roughly +1 km/h per second so not much.
