As for the petrol vs electric Smart tests, it went about what I expected with petrol superior in burst speed and slalom. A little surprised that electric outdistanced the petrol 30 to 12miles. I noticed they didn't tackle the safety or emissions "white elephant" but maybe they'll save that nugget for later.

I would love to see them in my neck of arid farmland (I would have said desert but technically we do get more than the minimum... once every 2 or 3 yrs).
