What I dont understand is if the cost of oil was dropping,

I just figured the continued gas price increase was delayed reaction to the previous $135 runup of oil. Gas prices are quick to increase, but slow to drop.

I know california is seeing some crazy prices now. $4.30-$.4.60

Anybody remember the LAST time prices were going to keep going up forever?
I will be laughing my ass off when the speculators behind the price run up get their tit caught in the mangle.

My dad said the worst part is filling the 5 gallon jerry-cans for the lawnmowers. That's because you can actually SEE how little gas goes into the container compared to the $25+ spent in order to fill it . Crazy ridiculously expensive.

Yeah, spending to cut the grass kills me. That's why I'm considering robot mowers.

I've been thinking that probably the best low-maintenance ground cover that doesn't need mowing would be strawberry plants since they reproduce asexually. Just make add some stepping stones to get around the yard.

Plus strawberries taste good .

What about rocks?

Remember back when gas hit $2 a gallon and it seemed outrageously expensive? Those were the good days, right? I'd look at today as $2 gas...It's only going to get worse. Like Matt Simmons says, "Gas is cheap, it's only __ cents a cup!"

What do you guys think? Anyone predict gas is going to get cheaper within the year? It's kind of an eerie thought thinking about tomorrow considering the economic downturn today...
