The Prius tank fit nicely between the frame rails.

Filler neck

I have to figure out how to relocate the filler neck. I want to preserve as much of the original functions as possible.

You are moving at warp speed compared to me. With my arthritis and unheated garage, I can only work in warmish weather.

Present outside temperature here, 28degF. C'mon April.

I'm bless with a garage with heat and A/C. But the reality is your swap is like climbing Mt. Everest. My swap is realitivly easy. Keep it up. When we're done we need to park next to each other at Good guys show or the Pumpkin Run.

Engine Bay

Here's a shot of the engine compartment. You can see I will be able to use the Prius heater and A/C unit. It fits nicely between the firewalls.

You have the option of customizing the fenders on the pick-up body. It would be cool if you could put the filler cap in the center of the spare tire. That way you could hide everything under a hubcap.

Last week I was able to clean up the top of the Prius firewall. I still have some areas to button up, but it's coming along.

Love that idea. I plan on making it a flatbed, but I could put a spare on it. That would make for a great hiding place. Thanks, Bill
