1987 subaru: hypermiler mode

I found the errors for this model 12 years ago, and play around ever since.
This setup is a favorite.

I hope to record a 15 gallon drain for odometer reading to keep mpg recorded. I have no electronic means aside from the guage to keep track. so it is a point a to b, map the miles, compare to odemeter, and how many gallons it used by filling the tank again. The most I have acheived was a touch over 40mpg, but it was not the "discipline" I have shown in vid, it should be mid 40s easily now, and even more on highway. My highest acheivement was 60s mpg several years ago, in another subaru. the other subaru had a gear set one taller than this one, and that helped. I doubt 60s mpg in the dual range version in vid, but still respectable no doubt.

I continue to make an ass of most of the planet..."Oops."
