Good luck in your efforts, although you seem to have a good handle on things. I love Festivas. They are so cool in a dorky sort of way. I want one. Two, actually - one EV conversion and one diesel conversion. Such a fleet would handle all of my driving needs!

An EV conversion Festiva would be sweet as well

Anyway, have you already considered some tuning into the new engine if you eventually feel some need for a performance improvement after getting the new engine installed?

I know, everything is my fault. I am used to it, for it has always been that way.

Yup, boost/propane if it ever needs more power. It likely won't, though. After I get the engine installed [trying to find a machine shop to recut/drill the flywheel for me now], I'm gonna work on lightening the car [LOL lighten a festiva] and a few other mods while I'm driving it around.

Hey old friend! I'm selling a truck [F150] later this week to help pay rent and finance this project that ultimately will save me fuel costs in a big way... I'm doing everything in my power to make it come together this time.

If you pull it together you might motivate me to do something with my Escort diesel and feed it at the Chinese restaurant.

I'm quite skeptical regarding propane into an IDI.

Lightening a Festiva? Would you be working around body panels made with cardboard and old rags soaked on glue?
