1991 Mazda Miata for sale in Tempe, AZ. Has a factory hard top, 5 speed manual transmission, A/C, power windows, power brakes, power steering, air bags, cruise control and a chromed style bar, which looks like a roll bar but lacks 3-D reinforcement. New battery and fuel pump. Runs great with 178,xxx miles. Adjustable struts all around. I bought this car with 107,000 on it and replaced the lifters, water pump, timing belt, idler and tensioner at 114,000. I have replaced the timing belt twice since then. It is a non-interference engine so you can drive it with complete confidence until the timing belt breaks, drag it home and put another $10 timing belt on it and you are good to go. I heard about the crankshaft snout problem and developed a high strain energy clamping scheme to prevent that from happening. It has a huge all aluminum CX Racing radiator in it. Hagerty ranks it as the number 2 most collectable car in a 7 way tie this fall, see the link below. It is also recognized as one of those cars that will take you over 300,000 miles, see link below. My father in law had one with more than 350,000 on it when sold it never having had the head off. It gets about 35 MPG on the highway. I have replaced the A/C compressor.

It is a fabulous car, but there are some downsides. It needs a some bodywork and paint. There is a dent in the RF fender that is nearly worked out, it needs paint, which I have, the center console is missing the lower right corner, The drivers seat cover is thread bare for ~30 inches squared, the tires are badley flat spotted, I think from sitting but it could be my daughters driving. It needs a new soft top if that You want that, but in my opinion, the hard top makes the car. Why would ever want a soft top?
