1993 Ford Escort

Hey all. Just joined the site and I'm enjoying seeing what many have done so far. I'm currently achieving about 37 mpg using a killswitch and efficient driving techniques. Sounds good to the average commuter, but on here, 37 mpg is far from bragging rights. I hope to have some more impressive results soon. I will be working on building a Kammback this week and will post pictures of the process.

Pretty sure your car is mazda based. Is it manual or auto tranny? it is funny about the name battlewagon. I have a friend who had a old volvo he called the battlewagon. had a big skull and crossbones on the hood. His newer Oldsmobile is named "the vigilante" and has the punisher emblem on the hood. Anywho, your car has plenty potential. Welcome.

I believe you are correct. I know that Ford and Mazda are closely related and use the same parts on many vehicles. And yes, it is manual. I heard the name battlewagon from an instructor in SCCA autocrossing in Milwaukee. Its nice to hear there are other wagon fans out there.

So far today, I have been trying to assemble a mock kammback. Here's what I have come up with:

Thanks for viewing and be kind, this is my first attempt!
